Scottish Funding Council: Alliances for Research Challenges

The Scottish Funding Council is currently inviting expressions of interest for the new Alliances for Research Challenges (ARCs). Through this funding universities will be able to create broad groups that coordinate and support bids for research with the aim being to benefit Scottish society in a way that is consistent with Scottish Government strategic priorities. In this first call, up to four ARCs will be funded for four years, and expressions of interest should outline potential challenge areas where ARCs could be commissioned. Expressions of interest should be submitted by 6th June 2022 to Dr Cat Bell, cball@sfc.ac.uk. More information on the call and full details of what is expected of an ARC can be accessed here.


Expert Panel for the Edinburgh Alcohol and Drug Partnership

Edinburgh Alcohol and Drug Partnership are looking for people with lived experience of drug use to become part of an expert panel. The next meeting is taking place on Wednesday 4th May at 2pm at 9 Cranston Street, Edinburgh, EH8 8BE. Anyone is free to attend the session to find out more.
