Opioid Overdose Deaths: PhD opportunity

The University of Bristol is currently seeking applications for their PhD studentship, ‘Opioid overdose deaths: Understanding the lethal interactions between benzodiazepines and opioids to develop new harm reduction strategies.’ The aim of the project is to understand how benzodiazepines and opioids interact to increase the likelihood of fatal overdose so that we can help design new harm reduction interventions that could reduce the number of overdoses in the population.

Scottish Families: Policy and Research Assistant

Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol & Drugs are seeking a Policy and Research Assistant to support the policy and research functions within their organisation, aiming to create insight, grow the evidence base and deliver impact and change to improve outcomes for families affected by alcohol and drugs. The role includes internal and external work with the Scottish Families Team and Board, family members, government, public bodies, politicians, third sector and academic partners. Crew 2000: Digital Youth Worker

Crew 2000 are seeking applications for the role of Digital Youth Worker to help develop, improve and evaluate low-threshold, non-judgemental drug and sexual health harm reduction information, advice and support online working collaboratively with young people. The post holder will facilitate opportunities for peer education for young people aged 12-25, working with Crew’s volunteer peer educators, as well as responding to enquiries from the public.
