About
Our vision
Established in August 2017 and funded by the Scottish Government, the Drugs Research Network for Scotland (DRNS) aims to facilitate knowledge exchange between the contributors, creators and users of drugs research to promote the generation of high-quality evidence that will inform developments in policy and practice. The DRNS aims to foster a strong community to enhance capacity and maximise investment into Scottish drugs research. As well as facilitating collaboration across Scotland, we will also develop links with leading researchers elsewhere in the UK and in other countries.
DRNS is a collaboration of:
- people with experience of drug use and drug treatment,
- affected family members,
- academics,
- peer researchers,
- policy-makers,
- service planners & providers.
