Save the date: NPS & Drug-Related Deaths

University of Edinburgh.  Tue 21st July.  1:30 – 3:00.

We are delighted to announce that Professor Shane Darke will deliver a lecture on his research into NPS-related deaths in Australia.  Prof. Darke works at the National Drug & Alcohol Research Centre, University of New South Wales and is a world-leading expert on morbidity and mortality associated with illicit drug use.  He will outline the contribution that NPS make to Australian drug deaths and will describe the characteristics of cases and circumstances of death.  This event will be of interest to anyone interested in learning about the impact of synthetic cannabinoids, novel psychostimulants / hallucinogens and other substances on mortality among people who use drugs.

Prof. Roy Robertson (Addiction medic & Professor of Addiction Medicine) will Chair this event which is co-organised by the University of Edinburgh and the Drugs Research Network for Scotland.
